At the ground level, ozone (O₃) is a hazardous air pollutant commonly found in our cities. It can negatively affect our health by causing respiratory symptoms and aggravating preexisting conditions — particularly on hot, sunny days when ozone concentrations can peak. The map below shows a measure called SOMO35 for the period 2018-2020; SOMO35 is an indicator that reflects the frequency and intensity of dangerous ozone peaks. |
