Description: Oxidised Nitrogen (NOx) emissions to air from other mobile sources (in tons per year per grid cell). Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) emissions to air from other mobile sources based on the latest partly gap filled emission data set officially reported by the countries to EMEP ( The gap filling process has been done using other officially submitted data (e.g. under the UNFCCC process), linear extrapolation of expert data and copy of expert data from the year before. These data has been converted from NFR02 (Nomenclature For Reporting) to SNAP (Selected Nomenclature of Air Pollution) system. On the first stage, the gridding process is based on the gridded data sets from official submissions of the respective countries for the reference year 2005. In a second stage, the EMEP “Grid Scaler” has been applied. The “Grid Scaler” is based on different sources for extrapolation of gridded emission data to recent years, such as 2007. The distribution of the emissions from other mobile sources was carried out on the basis of officially reported gridded data sets for this sector.
